What do animal crackers and folders have in common?
They're both "die-cut".
"Die-cut" - What does it mean and why should you care?
A "die" is like a cookie-cutter. Animal crackers for instance, are made
using cookie-cutters shaped like elephants, giraffes, bears, lions,
etc. The cutter is pressed into the dough, cutting away excess dough
outside the cutter, leaving you with a piece of dough in the shape of
an animal. Most cutters are widely available in common shapes and sizes
but what if you're looking for an unusual shape? You need a custom
"cutter" and not everyone can make one. We do!
